Southern Yellow Pine (SYP) has long been a preferred species for home and other structures because of its high strength, resistance to wear and ability to hold fasteners. Rough SYP is a popular product for our overseas markets due to its wide range of uses in the construction and manufacturing industries. SYP is an economical choice for use in manufacturing windows, doors, furniture, and moldings. SYP can be easliy pressure treated to greatly increase the service life by protecting the fiber from wood destroying organisms.
